An Update from the Trenches

The past month has been a very busy and (personally) stressful month. Part of the lapse in communication resulted from some family issues that I personally had to deal with during the past month; this required me to take some focus off FocalPower.

However, the FocalPower team has been focusing all our available energy on getting the first beta of FocalPower out for testing this fall. David has been hard at work coding the vision of FocalPower that we are working toward for this first release. More information on this vision will be coming soon via the blog. We are also validating the overall layout with a group of trusted “alpha” testers…as the old saying goes “you don’t want to know how the sausage gets made”. Thus, we are only showing the sausage factory to a few people who we know are familiar with the sausage making process.

As Garry Winogrand said:

“Photography is about finding out what can happen in the frame. When you put four edges around some facts, you change those facts.”

After constructing our infrastructure and clearly defined the four edges for the first release, we are busily focusing on getting it to a state where you can start using it.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and continued interest in FocalPower.
